Dr. Vicki Ann Whitacre has dealt with suicide throughout her career, first with suicide attempts in the emergency department and later in the area of suicide prevention. She personally has lost a first cousin to suicide and has close friends who are survivors of suicide loss in their immediate families. When her county formed its suicide prevention coalition, she was approached to help organize and participate in the coalition. Attending the national meetings of the American Association of Suicidology opened her eyes to the need to reduce stigma, raise awareness, and prevent suicide deaths. She speaks to local groups and promotes suicide awareness and prevention on the local television station.
Dr. Whitacre received her B.S. from Ohio University and her M.D. from Ohio State University. She completed residencies in Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine. She worked for 25 years in the Emergency Department at Zanesville's local hospitals before becoming the Medical Director of the Zanesville Muskingum County Health Department. She received the SE Ohio Women's Hall of Fame Award and the YMCA Women of Achievement Award along with serving on multiple boards throughout her 41 years in Zanesville.
Dr. Whitacre resides with her husband, Arthur N. Moose, on an 8 acre small farm just outside of Zanesville, Ohio. They are the parents of 3 children and enjoy Art's 3 children to make a total of 6 children in the family. They are blessed with 7 grandchildren.

Gina Bentle is passionately engaged in suicide prevention and mental health issues in our community. Ms. Bentle is a two time suicide survivor, losing her biological father in April 2002 and her fiancé in October 2011. She is committed to engaging others in suicide prevention and helping survivors cope with the overwhelming, unique pain and emotion that suicide can bring. Ms. Bentle provides suicide prevention, education and intervention resources to various community groups and individuals in need.
Professionally, Ms. Bentle serves as the System Security Program Manager at OhioHealth. In her role, she manages security initiatives for the system of twelve hospitals and 200+ care sites across the state of Ohio. Ms. Bentle is also a member of Lancaster City Council and serves as the chair of the safety committee, and is a member of the water/water pollution control committee, and the zoning and code enforcement committee. Additionally, she serves on the board of directors for the American Red Cross Fairfield-Hocking County chapter. Ms. Bentle is also a member of the Fairfield County Republican Executive Committee and serves as the secretary for the party.
Ms. Bentle earned a bachelor degree in Homeland Security and is trained in the National Incident Management System, Incident Command System and Hospital Incident Command System, and holds certifications in live agent training in CBRNE (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, explosive) incidents and mass casualty processing. She holds professional memberships with the American Society of Industrial Security Association, International Association of Crime Analysts, International Association of Healthcare Security and Safety, and the National Association of Drug Diversion Investigators.

Greg is passionate about suicide prevention and fighting the stigma of mental health issues in our community. As a survivor of suicides and attempts by family and friends, he is committed to strengthening the Foundation, increasing outreach, and helping survivors. Greg’s connection to suicide prevention began as the project manager partnering with the Ohio Department of Mental Health to bring the OSPF to life. With his return to Ohio, Greg is deeply humbled and honored to be serving on the Board of Directors.
Greg brings to the Board over 20 years of experience in various organizational improvement activities. Areas of experience and expertise include executive coaching, process improvement, organization development, and project management. He currently serves on the Executive Leadership Team of a local manufacturing company. Greg has lived and worked internationally, including studying German and Russian for his Bachelor of Arts. He has earned a Dual Master of German and Political Science, as well as a Master of Organization Development.
Greg resides in Westerville, OH with his wife and two daughters. When not spending time with them, he enjoys working out to stay in shape, golfing, and continuing his practice of martial arts.

Jessica Adanich is passionately engaged in suicide prevention and mental health issues in our community. She herself has battled with depression and anxiety the majority of her life. Through her personal experience with depression, she is committed to engaging others in suicide prevention and helping survivors cope with the overwhelming, unique pain and emotion that suicide can bring. Jessica provides suicide prevention, education and intervention resources to various community groups and individuals in need.
Jessica was born and raised in northeast Ohio and is the daughter of Susan and Emery Adanich, whom is also an artist and designer. Jessica graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Art (CIA) in 2009 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture. Her background consists of industrial design, graphic design, textiles, glass, wood and sculpture. She has worked for world-renowned companies such as Vitamix, Hasbro Nerf, Jim Brickman and is currently the Creative Manager for Mace Security International, Inc.
Jessica is the author of Journal+, which is a faith-based journal that promotes positive thinking. She is also the illustrator of Behind the Glass with Sherman the Shark. Jessica worked with author Jennifer Chesak for this project.
She currently resides in Parma, Ohio, with her two English Angora rabbits, Ms Penelope and Ms Clementine.

Nicole Spears is an advocate for the mental health community and is passionately committed to furthering suicide prevention. Through her personal trials with depression and anxiety, she's developed a unique passion for the cause. An abrupt introduction to mediation in an emergency situation opened Nicole's eyes to her ability to support a larger community. She has completed crisis intervention training as a volunteer counselor with Crisis Text Line and has a Bachelor's in Journalism from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University.
Nicole resides in Columbus, Ohio and works full time as a social media strategist.

David Bader is a former Corporate Director of Human Resources with responsibilities for all Human Resources program activities in private and federal sector organizations. Those HR programs included the planning and ongoing implementation of Employee Assistance Programs that provided comprehensive counseling, consultation, coaching, support and information resource services to address work/life concerns while also promoting employee health and wellbeing for all levels of employees.
Mr. Bader is an Adjunct Instructor at Columbus State Community College, and has also been an adjunct faculty member at Central Michigan University (Graduate Programs); Ohio Dominican University; and Fairleigh Dickinson University (N.J.). He has also conducted Management and Cultural Diversity training at the Ohio State University John Glenn College of Public Affairs.
He is currently an advisor to the Board of Directors at Mills James, Inc., Columbus, Ohio. He has also been actively involved with minority community outreach programs as a consultant with the King Arts Complex, Columbus, Ohio.

Ryan Murphy presently works as the director of emergency services with the Counseling Center of Wayne and Holmes Counties. He is involved daily in the devastating effects of suicide by residents in his community. Mr. Murphy has been in the position for approximately 5 years and has experience prior to this working in Kentucky and helping to develop the after hours triage team for the Kentucky River region. He has been active in the community with promoting the QPR program as well.
Mr. Murphy received his master’s degree from New Mexico State University and completed all coursework and internship for his doctoral degree from West Virginia University. He completed his undergraduate work at Ashland University. He presently holds membership in the American Counseling Association. Mr. Murphy also recently taught a crisis class through the Ashland University seminary.
